Misty Mountains Walking Tracks
Misty Mountains is Australia's first network of long distance walking trails in a high altitude rainforest environment. Over 130 kilometres of tracks have been constructed under a unique partnership between the shires of Eacham, Herberton, Cardwell and Johnstone, Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS), Traditional Owners, and volunteers from Conservation Volunteers Australia. Bus Service - Whitecar Coaches
The current fleet includes modern air-conditioned coaches which ply the Kennedy Highway offering 18 return services during a seven day week between Atherton, Tolga, Walkamin, Mareeba, Kuranda, and Cairns including drop-offs to airport, railway station, hospitals and bus depots. There are connections available between Ravenshoe and Herberton and along the Wheelbarrow Way to Chillagoe.
